Want to Do Something Small to Protest?
While Saying This for A Long, Long Time, Please Do This Oct. 7 & 8 at a Minimum and Any Other Way You Can to Point Out That Oligarchs Will Never Own Us
When the beautiful ship of mixed cultures in the United States started to sink, it became clear that the rich and powerful had lined themselves up for a dictator and were intent on stealing our lands, our health and our democracy. And Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon and one of the most affluent men in the world, was one of them.
That was devastating. Just devastating. For years, I had been addicted to ordering practically everything from clothes to make up to skin care to movies on Amazon Prime. Every time I came home, there were piles of orders on my doorstep or the Amazon driver ringing the doorbell to let me know packages had arrived.
I found my new dining table there; My bookcases. My books. On and on it went and practically every day something new was ordered. But when I discovered Jeffy baby had agreed to use his billions to support our new leader — knowing full well that Donald Trump wanted to be a dictator and would steal directly from us to feed his parasitic billionaire friends — I felt so betrayed. This is what Jeff Bezos did to his customers from small time buyers to those who dumped buckets of money to this man.
And what did he do? He betrayed thousands upon thousands of Americans. I quit shopping from his company immediately and will never buy from Amazon again — and we have to renew the call. People ask: haven’t we already done this? There are hundreds of people joining Substack now everyday — and we have to repeat it again and again and again — which is how it gets hammered into people’s heads.
This is how Donald Trump won the election. He repeated himself over and over again until finally people came to believe his thousands of lies piled on top of thousands of more lies. Repetition somehow made them facts, even though they were anything but. So if we have to keep calling for a boycott of Amazon, let’s do so. I know for many busy shoppers this is the way to shop conveniently. So at the minimum, don’t shop during Prime days Oct. 7 to 8. And while you are at it, don’t shop at Target — or Walmart. Walmart is actually having its deal days Oct. 7 to 12. They too betrayed us.
Instead, shop for the holidays from your local stores. Support them. They need it more than anyone trying to survive in this big time tariff friendly administration who is trying to funnel our purchases toward the billionaires, like Bezos.
Billionaires should not be running our country or our lives. They shouldn’t be able to decide if we are gay, trans, liberal or should no longer have rights if we are women. Or to shove their White Nationalist religion down our throats when so many of us have practiced religions we’ve known all our lives. But that is what is happening currently. We have shadow presidents from Steven Miller, who is sicking ICE on the black community, on Democrats and immigrants, Peter Thiel, who is collecting information on us 24-7 with his digital company Palantir and Russell Vought, who seems to enjoy cutting billions from our pockets by stripping health care and firing federal employees in mass so we can suffer more in an ever worsening economy.
Remember the whole Jimmy Kimmel thing — where one of these so called autocrats, Brendan Carr, who runs the FCC and helped author Project 2025, demanded ABC fire the comedian? ABC, which owns Disney and Hulu, acquiesced. The reaction was swift and brutal: the company lost nearly $4 billion over night. People canceled their trips to Disney and quit buying its stock. Hulu memberships were canceled. ABC was shut off.
This proved one thing. We have the power. Now, we must use it. And while you are at it, don’t believe anything reported in mainstream media. The billionaires gobbled it all up so they can persecute us further with fake news and propaganda.
Nobody was a better spinner of “fake news” than the guy running the White House, if, in fact, he is running the White House at all. The good news: the billionaires are not nearly as good at spinning it as he is.

Not all local is good local. Check neighborhood and community apps. Found a regular was a MAGAt. Called me because I was due for an oil change. Never done that before. Told him I changed to a more socially responsible shop. OMW, the diatribe. The hatred. The desperation. It was pathetic.
And the season is coming up for yard sales down south. Check there too. Our neighbors need some help too. We can use our money wisely and judiciously.
Please don't forget the less well off. Giving is so much more rewarding than getting.
SOO GLAD YOU WROTE THIS SO I CAN REPOST!!!
